So some of you might remember my home buying saga where I got mixed up with the Mayor of Dayton and... well lets just say it was ugly and I was almost sued. Well I have a new Saga... we will call this "The Lowes Saga". In this one I will be more careful with my comments and will do better about exposing myself to litigation.

Anyhow awhile ago we bought a washer from Lowes. We love the washer and the price was very good. Everything about the deal was good until we got to the installation part. I was not at home for it but my Wife was. In the process of installation the install guys ripped the flooring in my laundry room. (Pictures to come later) They were really nice about it according to my wife, they filled out a report on it and said that an inspector would be out to look at it. With in a week or two... the inspector had visited and saw the damage, he wrote up a report on it and gave me his card. He said Lowes would be in contact with us about the damage.

Well I said this was awhile ago... well it was... in November. So I didn't get after them right away thinking they would contact me. Then the holidays rolled around and we got busy, then I forgot about it... and before you know it... it's April and they still have not called. So I call them. They are rather shocked that I called about the damage they did to my house this long afterward. Yup I should have tried to hold them to their responsibilities sooner then I did. Some how they were trying to make this my fault.

The thing that pisses me off about this is... they did the damage, they knew they did the damage because they filled out a report on it and they sent an inspector. They knew about it all this time also. Anyhow I just left a message with the store manager( 05/03/06 1:15 PM ). The first time I talked to him (04/22/06) he said he would look in to it and call me back. No call yet.

(This is going to be cross posted on both LiveJournal and MySpace)

You scored as Neutral Good. A Neutral Good person tries to do the 'goodest' thing possible. These people are willing to work with the law to accomplish their goal, but if the law is corrupt they are just as willing to tear it down. To these people, doing what's right is the most important thing, regardless of rules, customs, or laws.

I just realized today that all the second languages I would like to learn… are the languages of the Axis Powers. How weird/sad is that? German, Italian and Japanese. Now this has nothing to do with the actual Axis Powers, I am not a Nazi, Fascist or whatever the Japanese were at the time. However those are the ones I wish to learn.

German, because of my German Heritage. I can trace my line back to Germany on both sides of the family. I think the earliest ancestor I know of is from the 1400’s.

Italian because there are few languages out there that are more romantic to the ears of English speaking peoples. And really who doesn't want to sound romantic? Also my wife’s family is Italian and I think it would amuse some of them. (Plus Nicolo Machiavelli was Italian…)

And Japanese, because I am in love with Japanese culture. I think this infatuation with Japan is becoming more and more common in America actually, which I find funny because the Japanese seem to have the same infatuation for American culture also. Maybe one of these days we will be dating 

You know if I was more practical I would learn Spanish and Chinese, since North America has an ever increasing Spanish speaking population. As for Chinese, well they are the next Super Power, and maybe one day they will be to the world what the US currently is.

So today I have 2 pics to post. First is the pic of my brothers dog, Max. Max is my buddy... then again I think Max is everyone's buddy. As you might have guessed I would like a dog of my own, but at this stage that isnt going to happen. So until it does... here is to the happy dog Max.

The second pic is my new office set up. I wish I had taken a pic prior to taking down my old desk to show how different this is, but alas I did not. Anyhow what I have set up now is a dual monitor on my gaming rig and a second PC with it's own monitor. I am thinking of getting a KVM Switch so that I can use one keyboard and mouse for both PC's... If I do that however I will also have to mmove that 3rd Monitor closer to the other 2. Those Black Monitors were only $25... so I might have to pic up another one if I can.

I have the actual Exalted book!

I couldn’t read as much of Exalted as I would have liked last night. I was helping my wife study for school. She is taking her second test today so that she can complete her Masters. Anyhow what I did get to read was great. The look and feel of the book is amazing and the crunch is awesome. I love how this feels like the evolution and refinement of the that the fans have always wanted. Its very obvious that this core book has benefited from 5 years of development. It has more of an Anima feel to it and even in a few spots looks like something you would expect in a FF game.

So far I give it an A+

I have been having some pretty freaky dreams the last few weeks. Like last night I was running around as part of the SG1 team, we were in an ancient temple of some sort running from orcs. There was much more detail and action to it then that however I can't really remember it now. What I would really like to do is start gettting on the PC as soon as I wake up to type out what happened in my dreams while they are fresh in my mind.

I really thought about doing this today but I had to be on time today and just focus on getting ready. I have an interview today for a new job here at work... so it was not an option.

I am glad WW is doing this wallpaper contest. I really hope they do this with more of their hardback releases also. It has been fun to work on wallpaper designs the last week and a half. The best part for me however figuring out new ways to use old tools, and figuring out how to use old tools. This round of wallpaper is better then the last round, and I can only see them getting better and better.

I am so happy that its the weekend! So happy I feel like playing some loud music and thrashing about in joyous spasms!

Anyhow, I have decided to enter the Exalted Desktop Wallpaper contest. I figure I have nothing to lose, plus it will give me a chance to try to flex my Photoshop-fu. Good luck to everyone else that is entering it.

Feb. 6th, 2006 @ 06:09 am Argh! Can't Sleep
Current Mood: annoyed
Cant sleep.... cant even say I am tired, although I am sure I will be later. I started taking a new medicine today and its made me feel nauseous and weak during normal waking hours. It also made me sleepy enough to go to bed at 12:30... which is early for me. However at about 3:30 I was wide awake.

In other news. I just applied for a new job. This new job is a lot like my current customer support job, only its more about taking care of just a few customers instead of all the riff-raff that calls in normally. It's a bump in pay, and the hours will swing between better and worse, depending on whats blowing up.

I also feel my interest in Exalted rekindling. I have purchased a few new Exalted related domain names, and I am thinking of totally revamping my fan site. Will it work? Will people visit? Will it be popular and useful? I have no idea but it will be a good chance to learn a few new tricks in web-design. Just have to see where this goes.

I feel like I have fallen off the edge of the table in the geeky board game called life. Well really I have just been out of contact with every one. Its sad but I am both more productive and less forlorn for my isolation from my geeky game-fu-ish (new word) friends. I do miss them so however.
